    @eagleeye1975 Not just that, but all of these people that we’re locking up suddenly become productive members of society (albeit slightly impaired members of society), you can add their production to the national output. By my estimate, if they can just manage a measly 25k on average then we’re talking $45 billion a year. That is not chump change.

    From a cost perspective… removing all of the money it costs to fight the “war on drugs”, there goes 50% of all law enforcement costs.
    Remove all of the money it costs to take care of drug crime prisoners in our prisons, there goes up to 80% of that cost…
    Plus, you can tax it once it’s legal. 🙂
